Note: This workshop introduces the topic of knowledge management and describes its evolution from record management and information management to its current use as a powerful tool that is important to every transportation agency. The current state of the practice presented will include case studies from states, the federal government, and key findings of an NCHRP synthesis study on this topic. The workshop concludes with a panel of senior officials who will discuss implementation issues, opportunities, and challenges.
